Intellectual Property Policy
Information about our intellectual property rights and usage.
This policy explains what intellectual property Cubie Technologies owns, what you may do with it, what rights you keep in your own content, and how to report infringement.
1. What we own
We own or license the software, source code, design, layout, graphics, illustrations, icons, copy, and the look and feel of cubietec.com and our products. The names Cubie Technologies, CubieTec, ChatCubie, Cubie FX, CubieAI, CubieEdge, CubieAlpha, CubieX, CubieMart, CubieLabs and CubieNexus, together with our logo and visual identity, are our trademarks.
2. What you may do
Subject to the Terms of Service, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Services for their intended purpose.
You may also, without asking us first:
- Refer to our products by name in reviews, articles, tutorials and comparisons
- Take and share screenshots of the Services when writing about them
- Link to any public page on our website
3. What you may not do
- Copy, modify or create derivative works from our software or design
- Use our name or logo in a way that suggests endorsement, sponsorship or affiliation we have not agreed to
- Register a domain, app name, social handle or trademark that is confusingly similar to ours
- Alter our logo — recolour it, stretch it, add effects, or combine it with other marks
- Remove or obscure copyright, trademark or other proprietary notices
- Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble our software, except where that right cannot lawfully be restricted
4. Your content stays yours
You retain all rights in the content you create, upload or submit. We claim no ownership over your messages, files, journal entries or output you generate using our tools.
You grant us only the limited licence needed to operate the Services — hosting, storing, transmitting and displaying your content so the Services work as intended. That licence ends when you delete the content or your account, subject to backup expiry.
5. Feedback
If you send us ideas, suggestions or feature requests, we may use them freely to improve the Services without obligation to you. We do this so that a suggestion cannot later create a claim against work we were already planning. Please do not send us anything you consider confidential.
6. AI-generated output
Output you generate with CubieAI is yours to use, including commercially, subject to the Acceptable Use Policy. Because generative models can produce similar output for similar prompts, we cannot guarantee that output is unique, and we do not warrant that it is free of third-party rights. Check output before relying on it in a context where originality matters.
7. Reporting infringement
If you believe content on our Services infringes your copyright, send a notice to legal@cubietec.com including:
- Identification of the work you say is infringed
- The location of the material on our Services, with a link where possible
- Your name, address, phone number and email address
- A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent, or the law
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act on their behalf
- Your physical or electronic signature
We review valid notices promptly and remove or disable access to infringing material. If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake, you may send a counter-notice to the same address.
We terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.
