Acceptable Use Policy
Rules and guidelines for responsible use of our platforms and services.
This Acceptable Use Policy sets out what is and is not allowed on Cubie Technologies Services. It forms part of our Terms of Service and applies to everyone who uses our products.
The short version: do not use our Services to harm people, break the law, or damage the systems that other users depend on.
1. Prohibited content
You must not upload, send, store or share content that:
- Is unlawful, or promotes or facilitates unlawful activity
- Sexually exploits or endangers children in any way
- Harasses, threatens, bullies or incites violence against any person or group
- Promotes hatred or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age or national origin
- Infringes intellectual property rights you do not hold
- Discloses another person's private information without permission
- Contains malware, or is designed to damage or gain unauthorised access to systems
- Is deceptive — impersonation, phishing, or fraudulent schemes
2. Prohibited conduct
- Unauthorised access — probing, scanning or testing the security of our systems or accounts you do not own, other than through our responsible disclosure process
- Service disruption — denial-of-service attacks, flooding, or deliberately overloading infrastructure
- Automated abuse — scraping, bulk account creation, or automated requests at a volume that degrades the Services for others
- Circumvention — bypassing rate limits, access controls, or usage quotas
- Spam — unsolicited bulk messaging of any kind
- Reverse engineering — except where that right cannot lawfully be restricted
- Reselling the Services without written permission
3. Product-specific rules
ChatCubie
Do not use messaging or calling to harass others, distribute malware, or send unsolicited bulk messages. Group and channel administrators are responsible for content they knowingly allow to remain.
Cubie FX
Do not present our tools or data as financial advice, or use them to operate a scheme that solicits funds from others. The tools are for personal analysis and record keeping.
CubieAI
Do not use generated output to deceive, impersonate a real person, produce content that violates section 1, or evade attribution requirements imposed on you by a third party.
4. Security research
We welcome good-faith security research. If you believe you have found a vulnerability, report it to legal@cubietec.com before disclosing it publicly, do not access data belonging to other users, and do not degrade the Services while testing. We will not pursue action against research conducted in good faith along these lines.
5. Reporting violations
To report content or behaviour that breaches this policy, email legal@cubietec.com with as much detail as you can, including links or screenshots. We review every report.
6. Enforcement
Depending on severity and history, we may issue a warning, remove content, limit features, suspend the account, or terminate it permanently. Serious violations — particularly anything involving child safety or credible threats of violence — result in immediate termination and, where appropriate, referral to law enforcement.
Where we take action against your account and it is lawful and practical to do so, we will tell you why and how to appeal, by replying to the notice we send you.
7. Changes
We may update this policy as new products launch or new kinds of abuse appear. The date above shows the last revision.
